Hey everyone, I recently received a shipment of roses and while the patio standard and mini roses were planted without issues, I faced a bit of a disaster with my Black Baccara. When I took it out of the pot, a lot of the rootball fell apart, making me worry that it was mostly detached before I even got to it. I'm new to gardening and suspect I might have messed up. There's a small bit of root left, and I planted it using rootgrow and watered it. Do you think it's too late for the rose, or should I give it a chance to recover? Any advice on how to improve its chances would be appreciated! Cheers!

I doubt you could kill a rose that easily! Just keep up the watering routine; it definitely won’t grow if you give up on it. I've been trying to get rid of my roses for years, but they just keep coming back!
Remember, you can grow roses from cuttings that don’t have roots at all, so even if your plant only has a bit of root left, it's in a better spot. A little pruning might help too, reducing the demand for nutrients while the plant regains its strength.
It's already quite small. It looks like they pruned it before delivery since it has no buds, just a few leaves. I’ll look into pruning it more, thanks!
Rootgrow can help a lot, but if you don't see any growth after a while, consider taking some cuttings and growing them in water. Just keep in mind that it may take a few weeks!
Yep, I’m planning to water it every couple of days and keep an eye on it. My wife is a bit annoyed because it's her rose, and she was with me during the whole planting fiasco, but I'm trying to stay positive!
