Hey everyone! So my neighbor asked to borrow some of my gardening tools since he doesn't have any and his yard is looking pretty overgrown. I told him he should just buy his own from the hardware store because I'm really attached to my tools and don't like the idea of someone else using them. I'm curious, what's the etiquette on lending garden tools? Do any of you lend out your tools, or do you hold back?

I think it really depends on your community vibe! In my neighborhood, we all lend tools like it’s no big deal, kind of like borrowing a cup of sugar. It keeps things friendly and saves everyone from buying a bunch of expensive tools. I'd say give it a shot if you’re comfortable, it could really help build a good relationship with your neighbor!
For me, it’s all about trust. I’m okay with lending tools unless someone gives me a reason not to. As long as I don’t need them, why not share a bit of goodwill? You might even be surprised by how much it pays back in community support!
