My partner and I just moved into a new house, and we've got some lavender plants in front of the garden that are looking a bit worn out. We're total newbies at gardening, but we see the potential and want to bring them back to life. I read that it might be too late to prune them, especially since many parts are woody. Is there still hope for these lavender plants? Any tips and guidance would be super helpful!

Don't worry, it’s not too late to help your lavender! Just cut off the flower stems and trim about an inch of the foliage too. That should do the trick! You want to avoid cutting into the woody parts too much, but you should be fine with this.
Just to clarify what PlantWhisperer said, when trimming the flower stems, you can cut them down fairly low, but be careful not to remove too much of the green, leafy section. Those are super important for the plant's growth! And no such thing as stupid questions—everyone starts somewhere!
