Anyone tried the robot lawnmower from Lidl?

Hey everyone! I noticed Lidl U.K. is taking pre-orders for their 2ah robot lawnmower, but I haven't found any English reviews—just a few in French. I'm really curious if this mower is worth it. My main concern is whether I can use it on two different lawn areas, since it seems like it needs a base station to function. Is that the case?

You might want to check if those French videos have an English audio option. Sometimes they provide AI-generated English audio that sounds pretty decent. But yeah, it’s frustrating that Lidl didn't provide more details for their pre-order—it leaves a lot of us with questions!

I checked, and they don’t have English audio, just subtitles. Honestly, I find it weird that Lidl would pre-order a product without explaining it well. They could definitely do better in that area, especially in the U.K.!

I actually bought one and had the same concerns! I'm thinking about getting a second base station so I can move the mower between different lawns when I need to. There isn't much info in English, but I found it easier to understand the French videos as a French speaker. Just a thought!

Thanks for the info! From what I've learned, the base station is crucial because it sends a voltage through the boundary wire that helps the mower recognize its limits. Not sure if that signal is continuous or pulsating, but that might be important too. I even thought about using a spare 20v battery or building a circuit, but I couldn’t find enough info about what the boundary wire needs. If you discover anything, please share!
