I just started renting my first house, but I'm dealing with some serious issues. The repairs that were done before I moved in are just terrible. The trim is cut unevenly, the painting is messy, and there are cracks everywhere. I have very little experience with home repairs, but I want to make things look a bit nicer so I don't notice these problems as soon as I walk in. Any tips on what I can do?

I totally get that; I rented a dump for years to save money. When the AC broke for the third time, I had enough! Finding a decent place was the best move. It costs more, but it feels so much better!
