Hey everyone! I'm crafting some wooden soup bowls and I'm struggling to find a sealant or epoxy that can handle heat while being food safe. Any recommendations?

Have you considered using Urushi lacquer? Just a heads up, it can be a tricky allergen, so handle it with care. It's also quite the involved process, but it could lead to some great results if you're up for a new challenge!
Honestly, there’s no go-to heat-resistant finish for wood. But if you really want to use wood, try a natural oil finish like what you'd use on cutting boards. Just be prepared to touch it up from time to time!
You might also want to check out Liquid Glass. It's a Japanese product that's food-safe and heat resistant, but make sure to apply it carefully! You can find more info about it online if you're interested.
