I recently purchased a house that has some pretty basic brown bathroom fans, and the odors just won't disappear even when the fans are running. It's becoming a bit of a challenge for everyone living here. I've even joked about installing whole house fans, though I might consider a high-powered kitchen vent as an alternative. I'm looking for recommendations on brands or specific models that can help with odor removal. Also, what should I check in the attic that might be affecting the performance of these fans? I'm open to trying one high-spec unit to see if that resolves the issue. Noise isn't a concern, and budget isn't really a problem either. Thanks in advance!

I’ve had great success with the Panasonic FV-0511VFL1 fans. They’re powerful enough for a normal-sized bathroom and come with a "SmartFlow" feature that automatically adjusts RPMs if it senses more airflow resistance in the ducts. Plus, they’re energy-efficient and easy to install. If your bathroom is on the larger side, Panasonic has a 150 CFM model that works with 6" ductwork too!
I echo the Panasonic suggestion! These fans come with a 6" exhaust which really enhances their performance. You might also want to check out Fantech as they're another reliable option!
