I've got a problem with carpenter bees that are making their nests somewhere in my soffit, but I can't reach them directly. The insecticides I've seen recommend spraying into their holes, but I can only access it through a small hole. I've tried using diatomaceous earth and even hung up a fake wasp nest, but neither has worked so far. Any suggestions on how to deal with these pesky bees?

Honestly, I just take a fun approach to it. I’ve had some luck using a wiffle ball bat to swat them down as they fly around. It’s a bit silly, but it can be an entertaining way to deal with them while you think about a more permanent solution!
I feel your pain! I’ve had some success with carpenter bee traps in the past, but it's tricky getting to them when they're up high. One option could be to remove the soffit cover to get a better look at the situation. I know it might not be easy, but that way you can clearly see where the bees are nesting. Plus, it could help you apply the insecticide more effectively if you can reach their burrow directly.
