I'm venturing into the world of plant parenting, but I'm feeling a bit anxious about keeping my green friends alive. If you could recommend just one plant that would be great for someone who's brand new to the scene (and maybe looks nice too), what would it be?

Spider plants are definitely among the hardiest houseplants out there. They're easy to find, adapt to various environments, and look great in hanging pots! You really can't go wrong with them.
Snake plants are a fantastic choice! They're super easy to take care of and practically impossible to kill, making them perfect for beginners.
Pothos is an awesome option! This plant grows quickly, can handle low light, and is very forgiving if you occasionally forget to water it. Plus, you can train it to climb or let it hang down, which is a nice touch.
