Need Help With a Broken M12 Fuel Bandsaw Facing Repair Issues

I bought an M12 Fuel bandsaw kit from Home Depot last May, and unfortunately, I had a bit of an accident. While climbing down a roof ladder, it fell a full story onto concrete. Since then, it's been throwing blades like crazy. I sent it in for repair, and they replaced a part of the wheel, but the problem persists. I sent it back for a second time, explaining the issue, and they made a few more replacements, but it still doesn't work correctly. With my warranty about to expire in two weeks, I'm feeling stuck. I'd consider their out-of-warranty $166 repair service if I had the option, but they keep sending it back to me unrepaired. What should I do next?

I get that you’re frustrated, but dropping it from that height isn’t going to be covered under warranty. Manufacturers tend to take a hard line on things like that. Just a heads up in case you end up trying to negotiate.

You might want to push for a replacement at this point. They’ve already had enough chances to fix your saw, and sometimes companies would rather send you a new one than keep dealing with repairs. It saves them time and hassle. It’s worth a shot!

Honestly, I think you should just keep sending it back until they get it right. It’s clear they haven’t fixed it after two tries, so make them deal with the shipping costs instead. Plus, don’t pay that $166 for a repair you shouldn’t need—there are cheaper workarounds out there that can get your bandsaw working without breaking the bank.
