I'm in the market for a table saw and need some advice. I do a lot of DIY projects around the house and will be cutting some cedar siding lengthwise. While I'm a tradesman, I'm not really a carpenter, so the saw won't be used for heavy professional work. I'm considering a battery-powered saw for convenience since I already have quite a few yellow tools and 4 and 5Ah batteries, but I'm not totally set on that idea. I'm also looking into 60V options. What would you recommend I buy?

I just got a 10" corded saw with a stand for about $550. It’s great for occasional use and seems built to last a lifetime. Trust me, battery life and compatibility can be a hassle. You won't regret going corded for the kind of work you’re doing.
If you're looking for reliability, stick with a corded table saw, preferably one that has a 10" blade. I've got a DeWalt 15 Amp corded one with a rolling stand, and I absolutely love it. It does everything I throw at it and is perfect for home projects.
I've used a battery-powered table saw before, and honestly, they're okay for light use but struggle with tougher cuts. I'd recommend going with a corded table saw, like one from DeWalt; they have some solid models. It'll cut through anything you're working on without the battery worries.
