I recently moved into a top-level apartment that has a nice patio, but unfortunately, it leads directly to the lower level roof where my cat could easily wander off into the road. I'm looking for a renter-friendly method to securely attach chicken wire, or maybe a bamboo screen, to the stucco side of my patio to prevent my cat from escaping. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might consider loosening some of the wire and drilling screws through the tight holes in it. Just keep in mind that you'll need to fill the holes when you move out, so make sure you're cool with that.
One option you could try is using hot glue! It removes easily with isopropyl alcohol, but I recommend testing it in an inconspicuous spot first just to be sure it comes off cleanly. If your cat isn't a total terror, lightweight bird netting might also work as an alternative.
Have you thought about making a catio? Just Google 'catio ideas' for tons of great designs that let cats enjoy the outdoors safely without the risk of escaping too far!

That's interesting! Do you think hot glue would hold if my cat decides to sprint at it? He can be pretty wild with screens.
