I'm looking for ways to keep my 16x16 shed cool before the summer heat hits. I live in southwest Florida, and I'm inside the shed about 9 out of 10 parts of the day. It's a flat roof design with a metal roof, and the structure itself is mostly wood. Any suggestions?

Insulating your shed is a great start! If you have power, using a portable AC unit can help a lot to keep the temperature down during those really hot days. Just make sure to seal any gaps or cracks to keep the cool air in.

How effective is the AC on hot days, though? Also, do you have any recommendations for the type of insulation I should use?
