Hey everyone, I'm at my wit's end trying to hang curtains. I successfully hung a set on another window in the same room without any issues, but now I'm on my second window and things have gone south. I'm attempting to drive anchors and screws into the wall, but just half an inch in, I hit something really hard that prevents me from going any further. I've heard there could be some kind of metal sheeting or framing installed with new windows, and since my house was built in 1920 with window replacements in the early 2000s, I think it might be the old housing for window weights. I've also tried drilling an inch below the holes, but I still hit the same barrier. I'd really like to avoid having holes all over the wall! By the way, my stud finder isn't detecting anything either. Any tips or tricks for dealing with this?
