I'm looking to create a custom template for my router, specifically to make a signature design for installing copper wire. I'm curious if I can use a quick-setting 5-minute epoxy paste to form this template. Has anyone tried this or have ideas on the best approach?

Have you considered using a 3D printer? I've found 3D printing templates to be a fantastic option for getting creative with designs! There’s tons of detail you can achieve.
I’ve had good results using plexiglass for router templates. It's pretty durable and easy to work with, so that could be a good option for you!
You could definitely give epoxy a try, but keep in mind that 5-minute epoxy isn't super strong. I’d recommend sticking with wood or MDF for the template instead, unless you really want to go all out! They’re pretty affordable and work well for this kind of project.
I actually used marine grade epoxy to make a router template for a guitar neck pocket, and it turned out great! Just make sure you choose a good epoxy that can handle the job.
