I'm trying to choose between the Festool RO 125, RO 150, and ETS 150/5 sanders. I typically work on chairmaking and small casework, but I also have an outdoor patio furniture set that I need to sand down and refinish. I'm looking for something that can handle that heavier use while still being suitable for my usual projects.

I've been using my ETS-150-5 for about 8-10 years now, and I love it! It's held up really well and performs great for a variety of projects.
I seriously love my RO 125! It’s versatile enough to cover large areas but also fits into tighter spots nicely. The gear mode is incredibly powerful, perfect for removing material quickly with rough grit Granat papers. The orbital mode isn’t as smooth as the ETS, but it's still solid. It’s definitely my go-to sander for all kinds of work!
Honestly, just pick one of these sanders! The only thing you'll regret is waiting too long to make a decision. I went with the ETS 150 because I liked the 'buy once, cry once' idea, even though it hurt my wallet a bit. But I was so impressed that I ended up getting the RTS 400 the following week, and both have been worth every penny!
Totally agree, worth the investment!

Thanks for the tip! Sounds like the ETS 150 is a solid option.
