I'm looking for some opinions on the 20v SDS hammer drill. I need to install some wood with tapcons and I'm debating between getting an SDS for possible future chipping tasks or just sticking to a regular hammer drill. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

If you're planning to drill a lot of tapcons, I'd definitely recommend the SDS hammer drill. I had a similar experience where I ended up using an SDS for some basement renovations, and it was so much easier than a standard hammer drill. Think of it like using a log splitter versus a maul—both get the job done, but one is way more efficient!

Yeah, I have about 75 tapcons to install, and since I plan on chipping up some old tile later, going with the SDS seems like a smart choice now.
