Are My Rafter Hanger Fasteners Too Long for My Ridge Board?

I'm working on a project with a 1.5" wide ridge board and I'm using 2x10 nominal rafters that will attach to it from both sides. After checking out the specifications for the LRU210Z rafter hanger, it mentions that the minimum nail length is 1.5" SD. My concern is, won't that nail end up going through the entire width of the ridge board? Will this potentially interfere with the opposing rafter hanger? Am I using rafter hangers in the right way for this setup?

You should be fine, the long nails won't cause issues with the hangers on the opposite side. Using rafter hangers here is actually the right move! Just make sure everything is aligned properly when you’re nailing things down.

What do you mean by "opposite side"?
