I recently bought a couple of plants that might be suffering from root rot, but they're too big for me to clean out all the roots and treat them with hydrogen peroxide. I've transplanted them into a shallow pot with a succulent mix and haven't watered them since I bought them a week ago. I'm unsure if they actually have root rot, but I've noticed some slight squishy leaves at the bottom, which has me worried.

It’s possible that root rot might resolve on its own if the affected roots just fall off. However, if the rot is progressing, it could spread to other parts of the plant. If they’re not rotting and just have mushy leaves, it could be a sign of overwatering instead. I recommend trying to remove the old soil when you can - refreshing it with new soil will help the roots a lot!
Despite the symptoms, it sounds like your plants are still alive! One of them is even flowering, which is a good sign. Just give them some time and keep an eye on those leaves.
