Hey everyone! I'm working on a faux pine beam for my living room and plan to bevel cut the edge of a pine board that's 290mm wide and 18mm thick at a 45-degree angle. I'm bringing it to someone with a panel saw to make the cut, but I'm wondering if it's possible to cut right on the edge without losing much of the 290mm width aside from the bevel angle. If it can't be done, I'll need to adjust my construction plans. Any insights would be super helpful! Thanks!

You might want to consider using a router instead of a panel saw for this cut; it could give you a cleaner edge without losing width. Just a thought!
Cutting right on the edge can be tricky. It depends on the saw accuracy, but generally, you will lose a bit of the width with the bevel cut. If you can, double-check with the saw operator how they handle edge cuts!
