I recently started gardening and have planted a bunch of beautiful flowers, but after a relative parked their RV for a visit, they accidentally dumped a huge amount of wastewater right onto my garden! I'm really worried that all my plants are going to die. The smell is terrible, and I've already spent about $200 on my flowers. What can I do to save them?

It sounds rough, but your plants might appreciate the extra nutrients. Just keep flushing the area with water. If you think the wastewater was treated with any chemicals, I'd recommend contacting your sewage provider to see what steps you can take. And definitely have a talk with your relative; that's not something that should happen again!
First off, don't panic too much! While the wastewater can be concerning, if it's mostly urine, your plants might actually benefit from the nutrients. Just make sure to flush the area with a lot of water to dilute it. The more the better! If there were chemicals in it from the RV, that's another story, but flushing should help.
You're on the right track with flushing it out. Just remember, 'the solution to pollution is dilution.' The smell will fade, and any nitrogen from urine can be good for the plants, as long as there's no salt buildup. But keep an eye on them in case they show signs of stress from burning.
Good to know! I've started flushing it with the hose. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the reassurance! I'm currently running the hose and hoping for rain tomorrow.
