How Can I Hang My Spider Plant Without Using Macrame?

I'm not a fan of macrame, but I really need to find a way to hang my spider plant. My cat is super attracted to it and I want to keep it out of reach. The plastic hanger it comes with isn't my style, so I'm looking for creative alternatives. Any suggestions?

I found a simple method that works well. You can just use a single rope to create a cradle for the pot. There are some great video tutorials online that show how to do this effectively.

Check out wire rope at your local hardware store! It allows for some neat splicing techniques to make loops, which can look much cleaner than using clamps. It's a solid option if you're after something more robust.

If you're really against macrame, there are plenty of hanging pots available that skip the macrame altogether. You can find them in various materials like plastic, ceramic, or metal. Etsy is a good spot to browse for options, and they'll often let you choose colors too. Plus, consider looking into hanging shelves or wall shelves; they work perfectly for displaying your plants!

You might want to try using some exterior chain with metal S hooks for a more durable solution. They hold up a lot better than those flimsy plastic hooks that come with most planters! Just check if your pot has any existing holes or consider using a washer underneath to help support the chains and create a net for the plant.

Have you thought about just using a decorative pot? You could keep the spider plant in its nursery pot and place that inside a decorative one. It's a simple way to hang it without fussing with macrame. Plus, there are tons of styles to choose from!
