Can I Safely Add More Batteries to My 48V Inverter Setup?

Hey everyone! I currently have a 4S2P battery configuration for my 48V inverter, and I'm considering adding another standalone 48V battery to the system. Is it just a matter of connecting it in parallel to the bus bar? What should I be mindful of when making this addition?

Yes, you can connect it to the bus bar! Just make sure that the new battery has the same chemistry as your existing ones. It's also crucial to have the voltages very close; otherwise, current will flow from the higher voltage battery to the lower one, which could create issues if the voltage difference is significant.

What if the new battery has a different capacity? Is that still okay?

How would the balancer handle a setup like this?
