Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a situation with my small patch of grass at my council house. My dog has completely wrecked it over time, and now all that's left is dirt. I want to lay down some artificial grass just to make it look nice until I buy a house in a few years. I'm not too concerned about how long it lasts. Last time, I just cut some grass pieces and held them down with rocks, but this time, I was thinking about leveling the ground with sand and using pins or spikes to keep it in place. Any suggestions from those who have done this before?

Head to the hardware store and grab some staples designed for securing weed block cloth. They're super cheap, like around $3 for 50. They'll work great for keeping your artificial grass in place!
Sounds like you’re on the right track! Level out the ground as best as you can, then definitely use some pins to hold the turf down. By the way, have you thought about using real sod instead? It's also easy to lay down, but I'm not sure how it compares price-wise. Just something to consider!
Just a heads up, artificial grass can get really hot and might burn your pet's paws, especially if you're in a sunny area. Keep an eye on that!

I appreciate the suggestion! I actually got the artificial grass for free from work, so I wasn't planning on spending much on this house, but thanks for the idea.
