I've been battling mealybugs on my succulents for a while now, using isopropyl alcohol for months without much success. Feeling frustrated with my many arrangements, I decided to give neem oil a try to see if it could help. Unfortunately, after just three days, I noticed that the neem oil caused even more damage than the mealybugs did! Now, about 90% of my succulents are severely affected, and the mealybugs are still sticking around. I'm at a loss for what to do next—any advice?

I'm not a fan of using oil treatments on succulents either. I've had better luck with insecticidal soaps—consider a soil drench or dip method. Don't forget to check for ants as they can carry mealybugs around; tackling them could solve part of your problem!
What kind of neem oil did you use? It's often more effective if you mix it with horticultural soap. Also, how did you apply it? Frequency can really impact results, so sharing those details could help get to the bottom of your issue.
