Hey everyone! I just pulled up the carpet in my home because of my pets, but installing new flooring is going to break the bank. I'm wondering if sealing the plywood with something like an epoxy (garage style) would work as a cost-effective solution for my 300 sqft area. I'd appreciate any serious advice on this! Yep, epoxy could work, but I think using polyurethane would be a better route since it's cheaper and totally adequate for your needs. You could also consider using floor paint; it’s surprisingly durable and might cost less than polyurethane!

You can definitely do a DIY project with that! There are tons of guides out there if you look around. Just keep in mind that pricing and how it actually looks will fall on you. If you make it opaque and level it out, it should turn out alright.
