What’s a User-Friendly CAD Alternative for Project Planning?

I'm transitioning from sketch pads to something more advanced for my project planning. Does anyone know of a simpler, user-friendly CAD program that doesn't cost too much and doesn't require extensive technical skills to operate?

If you're willing to learn a bit, check out Fusion 360 or Onshape. They both offer free versions, but they can be complex. There’s also SolidWorks for Makers which is very affordable at $48 a year, and it's powerful for 3D and 2D work; you don't need a CS degree for it!

I’ve heard great things about Fusion 360, especially with great YouTube tutorials available to help you get started. It might be worth checking out.

SketchUp is definitely worth a look! The free version is pretty user-friendly, even though I have a computer science degree and honestly, it hasn't made a difference in using it. It's great for basic 3D modeling without a lot of fuss.
