How do wild peppers grow naturally without support?

I'm curious about how wild peppers actually manage to grow without any kind of stakes or support since the ones we cultivate are so different. What's their natural growing process like?

Wild peppers don't grow in the same way that cultivated ones do. The varieties we cultivate have been bred to produce more fruit, which means they often need stakes to support their heavy yields. In nature, wild peppers have a different structure that allows them to thrive without extra support, adapting to their environment instead.

So you're saying that the ones we grow are too heavy because we've focused on maximizing fruit production? That makes sense! So do wild peppers strengthen their stems with the wind or something?
