Hey everyone, my partner and I purchased a house back in 2018, which was previously owned by someone going through a divorce. Unfortunately, we didn't receive any of the installation paperwork for the solar panels. We managed to take control of the system via the SolarEdge app, but then the inverter went offline. We tried reconnecting through WiFi in the app and even did a soft restart, but it's still not working, showing just a blinking green light. The Set App isn't letting us log in to make any changes, and I can't download firmware updates as it won't connect to the inverter. We reached out to a local solar service, and the technician said the communication is offline and advised us to contact SolarEdge. I submitted a case to them but got a response three weeks later telling me to get in touch with the original installer. I'm feeling pretty stuck here, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! If you're still stuck, I can help you out—just need the serial number of your inverter. I work on these pretty frequently, and I might have some suggestions for you once I have that info.
Looks like your inverter might be remotely locked. The only ones who can reactivate and recommission it are SolarEdge or the original installer. If you want to explore a different route, you could consider using a different inverter with your solar panels. Just keep in mind that the optimizers won’t work, so you'd likely see a drop in production. But a decent controller might help compensate for that loss! Good luck!

Here’s the serial number: SJ2320-0703066F-EB.
