Can Anyone Help Me Identify This Plant and Clear Up the Webbing?

I received this plant as a gift but I'm unsure about its name. I've got a couple of pictures linked here: [Image 1](https://ibb.co/JRkmp6BD) and [Image 2](https://ibb.co/XfjL3nHw). Also, there's this webbing on it—should I be worried about it being a spider? Is it okay to remove it?

If you're looking for more plant IDs, check out this [list of common succulents](https://www.reddit.com/r/succulents/wiki/commonsucculentids). It's a great resource to help you identify your plant, especially if you're using a desktop browser on old.reddit.com!

I think that might be a *Graptosedum vera higgins*. The webbing looks like a regular spider web, so you can just rinse it off without any worries about pests.

So it’s just natural pest control then? That's good to know! I'll take care of it, thanks!

Another possibility is *Graptopetalum paraguayense*. It would benefit from a smaller pot with better draining soil, and you might want to remove the webbing for good measure.

Wait, should I really go for a smaller pot? I thought a bigger one would help it grow better!
