What Should I Do About These Protruding Nails After My Bathroom Remodel?

Asked By CuriousWanderer42 On

I recently finished remodeling my bathroom, and I've just noticed some nails sticking out from the siding of my house, particularly in the area where the shower is located. I'm starting to wonder if it could be a moisture issue. Has anyone experienced something similar?

It looks like those nails might have been driven in with a nail gun and were too long, so they poked out. You could contact the installer to handle it, or if you’re up for a little DIY, use an oscillating tool or flush cutters to trim the nails down to be flush with the siding. After cutting them, just cover the area with some paintable caulk and paint over it to match. That should fix the issue!

Thanks for the tips! So, just to clarify, that means they likely nailed from inside and it pushed through? I’ll definitely reach out to the installer.
