I'm looking to spruce up my garden since we're selling our house this summer. There are some empty spots in the main garden bed, and since I don't have the time to wait for perennials to grow, I'd love some suggestions for annuals that can fill these gaps quickly. Definitely go with cosmos! They have a huge range of colors, and they can keep flowering until the first frost if you deadhead them. They're super easy and really eye-catching in the garden.
Dahlias are another good pick! You can plant them in pots, which means you can take them with you when you move. Just place the pot right into the ground, and they add a nice height and beauty to your garden. Also, salvia guaranitica is worth considering; the 'black and bloom' variety grows pretty tall!
