I'm looking to stretch a 4ft chain link fence in my backyard and want to know which tools will make this easier for me and my two friends. I don't mind buying some equipment, but I'm hoping to keep it affordable. I've watched various YouTube videos, but they mostly showcase commercial installations with specific tools. If anyone could guide me on what I really need or share some resources, I'd greatly appreciate it! I live near Menards, Home Depot, and Lowe's, so renting tools is also a possibility. For a simple setup, all you really need is a comealong, which you can find at places like Harbor Freight. Just attach it to something sturdy and pull to stretch the fence. Another option you might consider is using a car jack as a puller. Just make sure you have a solid point to secure it. I’ve seen people use a combination of a comealong and a steel flat bar to really keep everything tight, and it worked like a charm for me!
