Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my workshop and building custom furniture like a miter station, outfeed table, and assembly table. Since I'll be installing a lot of drawers, I'm on the lookout for solid, reliable drawer slides that won't break the bank. What kind of drawer slides are you all using for your shop furniture?

I've used a mix of drawer slides myself. Cheap Amazon ones do the trick but they can be rough. I've also got Blum undermounts for heavier loads. You'll notice that you really get what you pay for. I’d suggest looking for something that balances quality and price, especially since you're building around 30 drawers!
I've had good luck with Glide-Rite side mount slides from various suppliers. They initially come with a bit of tacky grease, but a quick clean with mineral spirits and a re-lube with some Fluid Film makes them slide smoothly. They're budget-friendly and perfect for shop use!

For my shop drawers, I prefer using wooden runners that slide in dado cuts I've made on the carcass. However, for drawers that need full extension, I've purchased some metal slides that are decent quality. Depending on your location, I also recommend Princess Auto's full extension slides—they’re reliable and often go on sale!
This is kinda the problem I want to solve. I'm looking for that 'goldilocks' option—good enough to last but not super expensive!
