I was digging about 6 inches deep in a forest in Queens and stumbled upon some pipes. I'm curious about what they could possibly be. Has anyone else experienced this or might know what type of pipes these are?

It’s a good idea to call your local city services to have them mark where the utilities are, which shouldn't cost you anything. They can definitively tell you what those pipes are. I’m not sure what they could be, but they’ll have the expertise to know!
Honestly, it could even be tree roots! I've been tricked by them before. Just make sure to get it checked out properly before digging any further, just in case it's something important.

I did call! Con Edison said it’s not electric. National Grid still hasn’t come by yet. Do you think it could be a sewage pipe?
