Taking the M18 Inflator on a Plane: Is it Allowed?

Asked By CoolBreeze42 On

I ordered an M18 inflator for a road trip with my wife, but I'm worried it won't arrive in time for her departure. I'll be flying out a few days later to catch up with her, and I need some clarity on whether I can take the inflator with me on the flight. Specifically, I'm wondering if it can fit in a carry-on bag and if it's permissible to bring on the flight. Has anyone had experience with this?

About checking lithium ion batteries, I thought that was a no-go? I haven't flown in a while, so I could be mistaken, but it's worth double-checking the airline's policy.

You can bring it on board if you can fit it in your carry-on. Just keep in mind that different airlines have varying power limits that they might enforce. If you decide to check it, that's generally fine as long as the battery is attached to the inflator and not just loose in your bag.
