I recently had a visit from someone at the local Council regarding a complaint from a neighbor about the petals from our cherry blossom tree falling onto the pavement. This is our first home, and we've never owned a tree before. The blossoms fell while we were away, and I'm looking for advice. If you have a cherry blossom tree or something similar, do you typically sweep the blossoms off the public paths? Or is this complaint a bit excessive given that the petals can blow around?
