I found an inexpensive Mini fridge, specifically a Red Bull cooler, that needed a simple fix on the LED strip and some work on the compressor line. After replacing the damaged part and refilling it, I'm still not getting any cooling, which leads me to think there might be a clog or compressor issue. Since fixing it professionally costs more than it's worth, I'm considering retrofitting a Peltier system into the fridge. I've seen discussions about DIY mini fridges with mixed results and I'm curious if using a pre-made fridge would yield better cooling. Has anyone tried something similar, or do you think it's better to let go?

You could grab a Peltier unit for around $50 that might fit your needs. However, considering your fridge has a unique outer shell, it might be easier to just look for a used mini fridge for about the same price that could fit better.
Honestly, Peltier coolers usually end up being more disappointing than effective. They generate a lot of heat while only providing a small amount of cooling, so the efficiency is quite low. Just my two cents on that!
Yeah, that's what I've heard too. They can be tricky.

The issue is, I want to keep the original Red Bull fridge look, and most affordable mini fridges are too big to swap parts.
