Hey everyone! I'm giving my bathroom a facelift and I can't seem to decide on the finish for my shower frame. I have a lovely white marbled backsplash paired with a dark denim blue floor. I'm considering going with polished chrome for a bright, classic look or opting for a sleek matte black for a more modern vibe. I still need to choose faucet hardware, so I want to make sure they can complement the shower frame. What do you think would work best with my tile? I'd love to see any photos of similar setups if you have them!

I think black looks amazing, especially for a modern feel! But just like the others mentioned, if you have hard water, it might show more wear. We went with nickel for our fixtures and paired it with black for the other bathroom hardware, and it turned out great!
I recently redid my master bath and went with matte black. It's definitely stylish, but just a heads up, matte black fixtures can be pretty pricey—sometimes five times more expensive than chrome! Also, if you have hard water, keeping them clean can be a hassle.
I'd recommend chrome from a durability perspective. Most high-quality fixtures are actually electroplated brass beneath the surface, and chrome tends to hold up better over time. The matte black finish can wear off pretty quickly, especially with rough cleaners. Chrome is tougher and can take a beating!
