I'm transforming my small 10'x10' room into a paint and art studio, and I'm removing the old carpet. I'm contemplating whether I can simply apply polyurethane over the OSB floor. Is there any need for sealing tape on the seams or anything like that? Since it's just a workshop for art, looks aren't a priority, but I'd like to avoid wearing shoes on the floor. What's the most cost-effective way to achieve this?

If you're looking for alternatives, there’s a garage floor sealant that works similarly and could be perfect for your OSB. I can't recall the specific name, but it's available at big box stores, and while it's designed for concrete, it might suit your needs as well. Just be sure to compare prices before splurging on anything!
Definitely, you can go ahead and poly the OSB! When done right, it can actually look pretty nice.
