Can’t Adjust My Router Settings Easily When It’s in the Cabinet

Hey everyone! I'm trying to set up my new router table for some upcoming projects, but I've hit a bit of a snag. I have a newer Skil router that has a display for selecting materials like hardwood or softwood, and it also automatically adjusts the RPM based on the type and depth. The problem is that the display is on the top, making it impossible for me to adjust settings or even see what it's set to once it's fitted in my cabinet. I'm currently using a Bosch or Craftsman cabinet. Any ideas on how I can either change cabinets or find a way to see and adjust the display while it's in there? Thanks for any help!

Honestly, it might be best to use a more budget-friendly router for your table since those fancy features are hard to access in tight spaces. It could save you a lot of hassle!

If it were me, I'd consider just taking the router out of the cabinet whenever you need to make adjustments. Alternatively, you could get a small mirror to help you see the display when it’s in the cabinet. That way, you can adjust it without pulling it out completely!

That’s a clever idea with the mirror! I might try that myself.
