I'm building a birdhouse from some spare wood I have, and I also want to use a PVC pipe as a post for it. I'm curious about the best way to attach the birdhouse to the PVC. Should I just screw it right in, or is there a better method, like using a flange? I'm open to any suggestions or ideas!

You can definitely use a flange to attach your birdhouse to the PVC pipe. Just pick the right size flange, screw it into the bottom of your birdhouse, and then attach it to the pipe. Just keep in mind that PVC might not be super sturdy for a wooden birdhouse, so use a thicker pipe if you can!
Yeah, PVC can flex a bit, so make sure your pipe is thick enough—at least 2 inches or more, and don't forget to pre-drill those screws. If the pipe is too small or flimsy, birds might not like it if it sways around too much. Honestly, they usually prefer trees, so if it's an option, that might be the best bet.
