What’s the best tool to trim my cedar-like evergreen shrubs?

I recently bought a chainsaw to trim my cedar-like evergreen shrubs, but it's been a hassle. The chain keeps getting stuck due to debris from the shrubs, and I've had to fix the chain twice! I'm looking for a better tool to make this job easier. Any suggestions?

You could also consider pliers, but that seems like it would be a lot of work for trimming shrubs!

Pruning shears could work, but honestly, it might take you forever. Hedge trimmers are likely the faster way to go for your shrubs.

Yeah, shears definitely sound slower.

Have you tried using hedge trimmers? They're great for this kind of plant and can save you a lot of time compared to a chainsaw!

Lol I feel dumb now.
