Should I Switch to M12 Drill/Impact Combo for DIY?

Hey everyone! I just got my first Milwaukee M18 hammer drill, but I realized I don't have an impact driver, which would've really helped me drive some 2-inch wood screws into studs today. I'm mainly a DIY home enthusiast and I'm wondering if I should just return my M18 drill and go for the M12 drill/impact combo instead. If that's the right move, what do you think is the best combo or individual purchase for the M12 line? I saw the M12 Fuel 3497-22 looks good. Thanks in advance!

I just picked up the M12 Fuel combo, and I got it for $146.49 at Home Depot last week. There was a promo where you could get a free battery too, which is a sweet deal. I'd say go for it. Return your M18 and snag that combo while the offer lasts!

For home projects, the M12 Fuel drill/driver combo is a solid choice! If you can get the combo with the free 5.0 battery, I’d recommend keeping it, especially if you're planning to expand your M12 tool collection. It really comes in handy for DIY tasks!

I spent about $400 for a kit that came with a hammer drill, impact driver, and two 5Ah batteries—and I even got a 6Ah battery as a 'free' gift. It's worth the investment if you think you'll be using it a lot for your projects.
