A wet vac is a lifesaver for getting any leftover water out of the toilet tank and bowl before you remove it. It’s also smart to have a big piece of cardboard on hand to set the old toilet on once it’s off. I recommend removing the tank first since it makes the whole thing much easier. Also, set down a garbage bag to catch any leaks, and make sure you know where the main water shutoff is just in case!
When measuring for the vanity, make sure you have the plumbing dimensions right, especially if your space is tight. If it’s a small vanity, save some money by choosing one that comes with the sink and top already attached. It simplifies the whole process!
