I have this old silver security tape on my windows, the kind that was super popular back in the 50s and 60s. I'm not really sure how to go about removing it safely. Any tips or tricks would be super helpful!

A razor blade scraper works really well for removing that kind of tape. Just be careful not to scratch the glass! You might want to apply some heat first with a hairdryer to loosen it up, which can make it easier to peel off.
Yeah, heat's a good idea! You could also try using Goo Gone after scraping to get rid of any sticky residue left behind.
