Hey folks, I'm looking to gather some opinions on the Milwaukee track saw. I've been eyeing it for a week and have it in my cart, especially pairing it with the BMSM and a 7 1/4" miter box. Before I drop that kind of cash, I'd love to hear what you all think about it. Thanks!

I've heard the Milwaukee is comparable to Makita, Festool, and Bosch. The tracks are decent, but a bit pricey, and while they’re not quite as good as Festool, those are really steep in price. I personally went with Makita for the tracks. If you’re already invested in the M18 platform, go for it; otherwise, I'd stick with Makita or Festool since they have a solid track record.
I own the M18 and have used both the Festool and corded Makita before. I snagged the M18 for $240 with a deal, and honestly, for that price, it's a steal. If I had to pay full price, I’d probably go for the corded Makita instead.
I saw a well-known YouTuber put the Milwaukee track saw against the Festool model, and he actually preferred the Milwaukee! Definitely worth considering if you're on the fence about it.
While I don’t own one myself, all the reviews I’ve come across seem to put the Milwaukee in the top tier along with Makita and Festool. If I were to buy a track saw, I’d probably lean towards the Milwaukee for sure.
I’ve got the Milwaukee track saw with Powertec tracks and the case, and I have no regrets. It did have a bit of a struggle with rough 8/4 walnut (which isn't my usual), but for regular jobs, it’s fantastic. Just a heads up though, while you can use Makita or Festool tracks with it, the anti-tip feature may not work with them.

The M18 track saw is really good, especially compared to the Makita 36v, though the Makita 40v models seem to get better reviews. But honestly, if you’re just cutting plywood or softer woods, the Milwaukee will do just fine, especially if you're already using their battery platform.
