I'm thinking of getting an impact wrench to keep in my truck for emergencies. I've watched some reviews on the M12 stubby and the M18 mid torque models, but I'm stuck on which one to choose. Any thoughts or suggestions on what might be the better option?

I drive a one-ton super duty and keep the M12 stubby in my truck. It's compact and works great for light tasks. Honestly, it's way smaller and easier to store compared to the M18, so if you're tight on space, it could be a good fit!
If you're mainly keeping it in the truck for occasional use, the M12 might be sufficient, especially if you use good quality, weighted sockets. However, if you're planning to remove lug nuts or do something more demanding, I’d recommend going for the M18 just to be safe. Better to have that extra power when you need it!

Totally agree! The M18’s extra torque can be a lifesaver. Plus, it gives you a bit more versatility for different jobs.
