I'm in a bit of a bind here. My COSMO range hood's motor gave out just two months after the warranty expired, and it's really frustrating! I tried ordering the replacement motor from their site for over $80, but they want to charge me another $84 just for shipping to Canada! I've learned my lesson about this.
So, I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Does anyone know where I can find this motor or if there's a compatible part available elsewhere? Here's the link to the motor on COSMO's website: [Motor Assembly Link](https://cosmoappliances.com/product/motor-assembly-with-12-separate-housing-for-cos-5u30-range-hood-tm-version-b76-ty02-358-bx/) Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Have you tried disassembling the motor to look for a part number on it? They usually use standard motors, so there’s a chance you could find a compatible replacement part without going through COSMO.
Honestly, if you use it a lot, consider investing in a higher quality range hood next time. You don’t want to keep putting money into something that might just break again. Brands like Zephyr make some solid hoods!
Are you sure it’s really the motor? Mine had an issue that seemed like it was the motor too, but it turned out to be the control panel. Sometimes if I pressed the buttons hard enough, the fan would kick on momentarily. Luckily it was still under warranty, but it was a tricky fix!
I’m pretty sure it's the motor since the fan was squealing loudly before it totally stopped. The LED lights still work fine, and I’ve pressed the buttons without any luck. I’m considering taking it apart to see what's really going on.

I bought it for about $250 CAD, but I see your point!
