Hey everyone! I'm an experienced gardener but for some reason, I just can't seem to get fennel started from seeds. This year, I only managed to get one weak little plant going, and then it died on me. It feels like I've tried everything to get fennel to grow over the years without much success. If anyone has advice or insights, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

I actually found it way easier starting fennel in a hydroponic setup and then transferring it to the garden. If you've got an aero garden or something similar, it could make a big difference! You might want to give that a shot.
I totally get your frustration! I didn't realize starting fennel from seed was tricky until I tried it myself, but it turns out it's not too bad if you just keep it watered. I didn’t even bother up-potting them for a while, and they still grew fine. Are you bottom watering or top watering your seeds?
I’ve had the same issues! I just skip the hassle and buy my fennel from a local nursery when I decide to grow it. Honestly, it saves so much stress!
